What to Know
Joyce DeWitt and Amy Yasbeck co-host the Nov. 2 benefit at Joe’s Pub.
The celebration supports aortic health research and education.
Three’s Company will take the stage at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan on Monday, November 2, as The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health hosts Evening From the Heart. The benefit begins at 8 p.m., pairing a celebrity reading of the sitcom’s pilot episode with support for the foundation’s work.
Original cast member Joyce DeWitt and actress Amy Yasbeck, Ritter’s widow and the foundation’s founder, will co-host. Jason Biggs will play Jack Tripper, the role Ritter originated, alongside Christine Taylor as Chrissy Snow, Bellamy Young as Janet Wood, Richard Kind as Stanley Roper, and Susie Essman as Helen Roper. Richard Kline, who played Larry Dallas, will narrate.
The New York event launches the Come and Knock On Our Door anniversary tour ahead of the show’s 50th anniversary on March 15, 2027.
“This event is a celebration of John, the joy he brought to all of us through ‘Three’s Company,’ and the community that continues to carry his memory forward,” Yasbeck said in the announcement.
That community also includes people whose lives have been affected by aortic disease. The evening’s co-chairs, foundation board members Alex Bussenger and Donald Schwartz, are both aortic dissection survivors.

John Ritter lost his life in 2003 after an acute aortic dissection was initially misdiagnosed. Established in his honor, the foundation works to prevent premature deaths from thoracic aortic disease through research, education, and advocacy.
Its work extends to the challenges patients and families face beyond a diagnosis. Through Aorta Advocates, the foundation connects patients, caregivers, and people who have lost loved ones with trained volunteers who have personal experience with aortic disease.
Another program, Aorta Prep, helps people prepare for upcoming medical appointments. The foundation also offers caregiver support, educational webinars, and resources to help families better understand aortic conditions and navigate care. These services provide information and support rather than medical treatment.
Its research grant program funds studies intended to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for people with or at risk for thoracic aortic disease.
Following New York, the anniversary tour is scheduled to visit Dallas on February 27, Cleveland on March 13, and Los Angeles on September 9, 2027.
Evening From the Heart takes place at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette St. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the reading and special program scheduled from 8 to 10 p.m.
