Netflix confirms Season 4 is filming in Atlanta.
Cast and a premiere date have not been announced.
Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black has started production on Season 4 in Atlanta, Netflix announced in October. The new season continues the Bellarie family’s fight for control of its beauty empire after an attack leaves several characters’ fates uncertain.
Perry returns as creator, writer, director and executive producer. Angi Bones and Tony Strickland produce for Tyler Perry Studios.
The production update follows another strong showing in Netflix’s viewing charts. According to the streaming service, Season 3 spent four weeks in its Global Top 10 and reached No. 1 in 22 countries.
Netflix’s Season 4 description points to revenge, betrayal and hostile takeovers as the family struggles to protect its business. Marriages unravel and hidden motives emerge, but the company has not announced which cast members will return.

The previous season followed Kimmie’s rise within the Bellarie family and her uneasy alliance with Mallory as a family feud threatened the business.
Perry previously told Netflix Tudum that he had more of the family’s story to tell.
“Beauty in Black is back for Season 4 and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished. There was so much more I wanted to explore and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story.”
Netflix has not announced a Season 4 premiere date. Additional season and casting details will be shared later.
All three seasons of Beauty in Black are currently streaming on Netflix.
