Evil Dead Burn Sets HBO Max Streaming Date for Halloween Season

The Deadites are returning in time for Halloween viewing. Evil Dead Burn begins streaming globally Friday, Oct. 2, exclusively on HBO Max, one week after Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed the film's home-streaming date.
HBO will give the franchise its own Saturday-night block on Oct. 3. Evil Dead (2013) airs at 4:45 p.m. ET, followed by Evil Dead Rise at 6:20 p.m. Evil Dead Burn makes its HBO debut at 8 p.m. ET.
This chapter follows a woman who seeks refuge with her late husband's family at their secluded home. The gathering turns deadly when her relatives begin changing into Deadites, the possessed human creatures that have stalked the series since Sam Raimi's original 1981 film.
Souheila Yacoub (Dune: Part Two) heads the cast alongside Tandi Wright (Pearl), Hunter Doohan (Wednesday), Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent), Erroll Shand (The Luminaries) and Maude Davey (My First Summer). Warner Bros. Discovery has not identified the characters in its streaming announcement.
French filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček directed the movie and co-wrote it with Florent Bernard. Franchise veterans Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi produced, while Bruce Campbell serves as an executive producer with Romel Adam, Sarah Spurway, Jose Cañas, and Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin.
The setup keeps the series focused on a family under supernatural attack while shifting the action to a new household. It also gives newcomers a story they can follow without losing the Deadites and demonic possession that identify an Evil Dead movie.
The new film arrives as HBO Max already has a strong connection to the series. Evil Dead Rise was included in the service's Face Your Demons Halloween collection in 2025, alongside Evil Dead 2 and other horror titles.

For viewers planning a franchise catch-up, the Oct. 3 HBO schedule offers a compact path through the two most recent films before the latest story. HBO Max has not announced the exact time Evil Dead Burn will become available to stream on Oct. 2.
