The Vampire Lestat Premiere Date Announced for AMC and AMC+ This June

The Immortal Universe is expanding with a musical twist this summer. AMC Networks has announced that its dark fantasy drama series The Vampire Lestat will premiere on Sunday, June 7
The upcoming season centers on the Vampire Lestat, played by Sam Reid (The Newsreader), who is resentful of his perfunctory portrayal in the trashy bestseller Interview with the Vampire. To set his story straight in a way only he can, Lestat starts a rock band and launches an electric multi-city concert tour.
The tour forces the vampire to confront his past as he is haunted by muses from his wild and rebellious history, including Gabriella, Nicholas, Magnus, Marius, and Those Who Must Be Kept. As his music career elevates his star power, Lestat gains significant influence over both humans and vampires.
This sudden rise in authority forces other immortals to deal with his expanding power during the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the global vampire population.

Alongside Reid, the series stars Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones), Assad Zaman (Hotel Portofino), Eric Bogosian (Succession), Delainey Hayles (Too Close), and Jennifer Ehle (Pride and Prejudice).
The project is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson, creator, writer, and showrunner Rolin Jones, and Hannah Moscovitch. Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice also serve as executive producers on the adaptation of the classic gothic novels.
Also happening on June 7 is the debut of a new companion post-show titled The Vampire Lestat: After Dark. The AMC+ original series will stream weekly on Sundays following the main episodes through the July 19 season finale.
Hosted by writer, producer, and podcast host Lizzie Bassett (What Went Wrong), the half-hour talk show will take viewers behind the scenes. It features exclusive interviews with the main cast and production team, including Reid, Anderson, Zaman, Bogosian, Hayles, Johnson, and Jones.
