David Duchovny and Jack Whitehall Star in New Prime Video Thriller Malice

Prime Video is diving into psychological territory with "Malice," a new UK original series starring David Duchovny, Jack Whitehall, and Carice van Houten. The six-part thriller, set between London and Greece, is expected to premiere on Prime Video next year, sometime in 2026.

The story centers on Adam Healey (Whitehall), a charming “manny” who joins the wealthy Tanner household with a hidden agenda to destroy them from within. Duchovny plays Jamie Tanner, the head of the family, while van Houten stars as his wife, Nat. The series teases manipulation, betrayal, and the question at its core: why does Adam despise Jamie so much?

Filmed across London and the Greek island of Paros, Malice features a strong supporting cast including Christine Adams (Hijack), Raza Jaffrey (Homeland), and newcomers Rianna Kellman and Jade Khan. The production wrapped recently after an 18-week shoot, described by Whitehall as “an amazing experience.” “I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved,” he said, calling the international production “an incredible adventure.”

Tara Erer, Head of Originals for UK and Northern Europe at Amazon MGM Studios, said viewers should expect plenty of twists. “It’s been an absolute joy seeing James Wood’s scripts come to life with our incredible cast led by Jack, David, and Carice. The twists and turns will have our customers on the edge of their seats,” she said.

Created and written by James Wood (Rev), the series is directed by Mike Barker (The Handmaid’s Tale, Fargo) and Leonora Lonsdale (Dangerous Liaisons). It’s a co-production between Expectation and Tailspin Films, with Tim Hincks, Imogen Cooper, and Wood serving as executive producers.
