From animated adventures to superhero showdowns, free outdoor screenings of family favorites bring big-screen magic to local playgrounds.

Movies Under the Stars is back, turning Bronx parks into open-air theaters for the summer. Hosted by NYC Parks and the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, the series features blockbuster hits, kid-friendly favorites, and classic crowd-pleasers, all screened outdoors at sunset.
This event is held throughout New York City, but the Bronx lineup kicks off with Mummies at Noble Playground and continues all season with a mix of animated sequels, superhero sagas, and nostalgic comedies. Each screening takes place in a different park, from the basketball courts at Mosholu Parkway to the soccer field at St. James Park.
