The Max original Caddo Lake, created by writer-directors Celine Held and Logan George, has set its premiere date and released a creepy-looking trailer. Produced by filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, the mystery thriller is set to debut on Max on Thursday, October 10.

When an eight-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances are unearthed and start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history.

Inspired by the real Caddo Lake—a sprawling cypress forest along the Texas-Louisiana border—directors Held and George were drawn to the eerie beauty of the location, making it a key character in the film. Caddo Lake was filmed on-site in Karnak, Texas, adding authenticity to the atmosphere.
