Heads up, New York — Tracy Morgan returns to primetime, reuniting with 30 Rock co-star Tina Fey and fellow SNL alums, and will also star in a spinoff of The Neighborhood.

Brooklyn-born comedian Tracy Morgan is heading back to primetime with a brand-new NBC comedy, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. The Emmy-nominated star will play Reggie, a former football player trying to clean up his image while a documentary crew films every move (and mistake) he makes. It's the kind of wild, heartfelt role that fits Morgan perfectly.
Set to air during NBC's 2025–26 season, the show also stars Weird: The Al Yankovic Story's Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Tobin, the filmmaker behind the camera, along with a strong cast that includes Living Single's Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan (SNL), Precious Way (Days of our Lives), and Jalyn Hall (All American). The series reunites Morgan with 30 Rock creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, bringing the old crew back together for something new.
And for those who didn't know — before comedy took over, Morgan ran track and played football at DeWitt Clinton High School, right here in the Bronx. It was also during those high school years that he began honing his comedic voice — a spark that would eventually take him from local stages to national TV.

In an interview with BronxTalk host Gary Axelbank, Morgan reflected on what he learned from working with Tina Fey and the tight-knit team behind 30 Rock: "I learned so much from Tina Fey," Morgan said. "She taught me that we're not going to win if we do this as a team. We were family. Teams lose. Family is family."
And Morgan's comedy streak doesn't stop there.
He's also set to star in a new Paramount+ series called Crutch, a half-hour comedy set in the world of CBS's hit show The Neighborhood.
Morgan will play Francois "Frank" Crutchfield, or "Crutch" to those who know him, a Harlem widower whose plans for peace and quiet get turned upside down when his adult children (and grandkids) move back in. The show, produced by Cedric The Entertainer's production company, is expected to begin filming later this year.

"Crutch will be navigating the ups and downs of having his kids and grandkids back under one roof, and you know if I am doing this, there will be plenty of laughs along the way," said Tracy Morgan. "I am so happy to be able to do this with my brother Cedric The Entertainer, Owen Smith, and the rest of the amazing crew we have put together. Get ready for your new favorite show!"
Morgan got his start in the Bronx, from local comedy gigs to Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, his story has always been a New York story. And these latest roles? They might just be some of his best yet.
There's no official premiere date yet for either series, but The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is confirmed for NBC's upcoming season as the network leans back into character-driven comedies, and as always, we'll be watching.
