Netflix's Adult Animated Comedy 'Fixed' Set for August Debut

Genndy Tartakovsky returns with a raunchy, high-energy comedy featuring Adam Devine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, and more.

Netflix has set August 13, 2025, as the release date for Fixed, a new adult animated comedy from Emmy-winning director Genndy Tartakovsky. The Sony Pictures Animation film follows Bull, a fun-loving dog who learns he’s scheduled to be neutered the next morning. With just 24 hours left, Bull gathers his crew for one last wild adventure.

What To Expect: Featuring a top-tier voice cast — including Adam Devine (The Out-Laws), Idris Elba (Hijack), Kathryn Hahn (Glass Onion), Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett, Michelle Buteau, and River Gallo — Fixed blends cartoon absurdity with surprisingly grounded emotion. Tartakovsky describes it as "a rated-R Lady and the Tramp" that evolved into something uniquely its own.

"I love caricatured and exaggerated animation, so I knew the sensibility that I like to do and it was a matter of dialing the amount of exaggeration," Tartakovsky said in an interview with Tudum. "It began to really take shape as we were fortunate to hire some of the best animators working in 2D from around the world."

Voice Cast Breakdown: In addition to Adam Devine as the anxious lead Bull, the Fixed voice cast includes Kathryn Hahn as Honey, Idris Elba as Rocco, Michelle Buteau as Molasses, Fred Armisen as Fetch, Bobby Moynihan as Lucky, River Gallo as Frankie, Beck Bennett as Sterling, Aaron LaPlante as Luther, and Antonio Alvarez as Head Coyote.

Tartakovsky, best known for Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory, and the critically acclaimed Primal, has long been a force in the animation world. His work on Primal earned a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season — an impressive feat for a dialogue-free series driven by visual storytelling. Longtime fans are eager to see how his signature style translates into an adult comedy format.

Adding to the appeal is co-writer Jon Vitti, whose credits include The Simpsons and The Office. The project’s bold animation style, emotional core, and ensemble cast are already turning heads.
