If you're in the mood for a revenge thriller set against a gritty tropical backdrop, Peacock's new crime drama M.I.A. arrives this spring, placing viewers in the intensity of Miami's criminal underworld. All nine episodes premiere May 7, 2026, and will be available to stream at once. Created by Bill Dubuque and run by Karen Campbell, the series stars Shannon Gisela, Cary Elwes, and Danay Garcia.

The series follows Etta Tiger Jonze (Gisela), a young woman from the Florida Keys whose family's drug-running business collapses in tragedy, sending her deep into Miami's criminal underworld in search of vengeance. The story tracks her evolution from orphan to a powerful figure within Miami's criminal world.

The cast is a mix of familiar faces and rising talent. Alongside Gisela and Elwes, the series features Brittany Adebumola (4400), Dylan Jackson (Godfather of Harlem), Alberto Guerra (The Accident), Maurice Compte (Narcos), Gerardo Celasco (The Water Front), and Marta Milans (White Lines). The guest lineup adds another layer, including Edward James Olmos, Billy Burke, Sonia Braga, Loretta Devine, Tovah Feldshuh, Tyler Perez, Paul Ben-Victor, and David Denman.
