The music of Earth, Wind & Fire and Cyndi Lauper will take center stage this fall in two new primetime specials. A GRAMMY Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live: ‘The 21st Night of September' premieres, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+. Two weeks later, A GRAMMY Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live from the Hollywood Bowl premieres Sunday, Oct. 5, at the same time on CBS and Paramount+.

The first event marks a rare performance from Earth, Wind & Fire, one of the best-selling bands in music history. Filmed at the Hollywood Bowl, the concert pairs the group with the LA Philharmonic and features appearances from Stevie Wonder, Jonas Brothers, Jon Batiste, and Janelle Monáe. Together, they honor the nine-time GRAMMY winners known for their genre-blending sound and global influence.

The second special turns the spotlight on Cyndi Lauper as she wraps her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. Recorded live at the Hollywood Bowl, the show includes exclusive performances of Lauper’s biggest hits, just as she is set to join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Special guests span generations and genres, with appearances by Joni Mitchell, Cher, John Legend, SZA, Mickey Guyton, and Trombone Shorty, plus a video tribute from Brandi Carlile.

Both programs bring together industry veterans and younger stars, highlighting how these artists’ legacies continue to inspire. For fans, the broadcasts deliver more than nostalgia. They offer a chance to see iconic songs reimagined for today while honoring the timeless quality that made them classics.
