The Bronx County Historical Society is inviting music fans to dive deeper into punk and hardcore history this month with a two-part summer book club event hosted at the Museum of Bronx History.
As part of the ongoing Uptown Rumble: Heavy Music in The Bronx exhibit, the Bronx Punk Rock Summer Book Club will meet on August 16 and September 6, 2025, and will feature guest authors, music icons, and refreshments for attendees. Registration is $50 and includes both books with shipping.
The first session will spotlight London ‘77: The Lost Archive, a photography book curated by Bronx native Drew Stone, with appearances by Stone and special guests Tish and Snooky, backup singers for Blondie and founders of the iconic punk store Manic Panic. The second session will center on Lost Indignation, a debut novel by Becky McAuley set in the 1980s hardcore scene.

Both sessions will be held at the Museum of Bronx History, located at 3266 Bainbridge Avenue. Space is limited. For details or to register, visit bronxhistoricalsociety.org.
