Acorn TV announced a new original crime drama series, Art Detectives, starring Stephen Moyer as DI Mick Palmer. Set to premiere in 2025, the show explores the high-stakes world of art crime through the lens of the Heritage Crime Unit.
Alongside DC Shazia Malik, Palmer navigates the complexities of solving murders tied to priceless works of art, from Old Master paintings to street art and rare antiques.
Art Detectives follows DI Mick Palmer and DC Shazia Malik as they solve crimes connected to the art and antiques world. The series delves into a range of cases involving high-value pieces like a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, and even items rescued from the Titanic.
Along the way, Palmer also manages his relationship with museum curator Rosa and grapples with the sudden reappearance of his father, Ron, a notorious forger.
