What to Know
  • The series follows a family whose search for their missing daughter turns into a neighborhood surveillance scheme.
  • The eight-episode second season premieres Oct. 21, 2026.

How far would you go to find someone you love? In Apple TV’s German-language dark comedy Where’s Wanda?, the Klatt family’s answer involves disguises, hidden microphones, and a neighborhood full of secrets. The series began as a search for a missing teenager and now has a second season on the way.

What is Where’s Wanda? about?

Dedo and Carlotta Klatt are desperate to find their 17-year-old daughter, Wanda, who has been missing for months. Frustrated by the police investigation, they enlist their tech-savvy son Ole and start placing surveillance devices around their neighborhood.

The family poses as employees of an electrical company to get inside homes. As their search spreads across the suburb, they uncover secrets that have little to do with the case

The premise gives the show its mix of suspense and dark comedy. The Klatts are trying to solve a painful family mystery while making increasingly questionable choices of their own.

Who is in the cast?

Heike Makatsch plays Carlotta, Axel Stein plays Dedo, Lea Drinda plays Wanda, and Leo Simon plays Ole. The first season also features Devid Striesow, Jasmin Shakeri, Joachim Król, Nikeata Thompson and Palina Rojinski.

Oliver Lansley created and wrote the series, based on a story co-created with Zoltan Spirandelli. UFA Fiction produced it. Christian Ditter, Tobi Baumann and Facundo Scalerandi directed episodes of the first season.

When did season one premiere, and where can you watch it?

The eight-episode first season premiered Oct. 2, 2024, and finished its weekly release Nov. 13, 2024. It is available on Apple TV. Viewers can find the series on Apple’s official Where’s Wanda? page.

What is confirmed about season two?

Apple says the second season has eight episodes and premieres Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026. New episodes are scheduled weekly through Dec. 9. Makatsch, Stein, Drinda, Simon, and Thompson return.

The next mystery begins when Wanda is found standing over a dead body. Her family sets out to prove she is innocent and find the killer, drawing the Klatts into another investigation. That setup comes from Apple’s season two announcement; it does not require giving away the first season’s ending.
