Christian Slater as Mulgarath in The Spiderwick Chronicles premiering on The Roku Channel on April 19, 2024

The Spiderwick Chronicles follows the journey of the Grace Family as they undergo a coming-of-age experience when they relocate from New York to Michigan. When they settle into their new home, the family not only unravels the mysteries concealed within their great-grandfather's estate but also stumbles upon a hidden and enchanting world that now surrounds them.

The TV show is an adaptation of the globally acclaimed series of books of the same name by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. Roku announced last year (2023) that it acquired the exclusive, premiere U.S. rights to the New York Times best-seller. The fantasy adventure produced by Paramount Television Studios & 20th Television will debut on The Roku Channel on April 19, 2024

Helen and her children, 15-year-old fraternal twins Jared and Simon, and their sister Mallory move to their ancestral home, Spiderwick Estate. Jared soon learns that magical creatures exist when he discovers a goblin-like creature known as a boggart. But the only one who believes Jared is his great-aunt Lucinda, who implores him to find the pages of her father’s field guide to magical creatures and protect them from the murderous Ogre, Mulgarath.
