“Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” is making its way back to screens in 2026 with a two-hour reunion special on The Roku Channel. The special, titled Roku Presents: The Laguna Beach Reunion (working title), will air free on the platform and bring together the original cast to mark 20 years since the show first premiered.
For the first time since 2006, Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser will reunite to reflect on the series that turned high school drama into must-watch TV. The reunion promises behind-the-scenes stories, live reactions to past episodes, and a present-day return to the coastal town that gave the show its name.

“Laguna Beach wasn’t just a television series; it defined a generation of pop culture and paved the way for the reality genre as we know it,” said Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Roku Originals at Roku Media. Series creator Liz Gateley added, “Never in a million years did I think we would find such a perfect group of real friends. The show not only changed my life and the cast’s lives, but it meant so much to a generation of fans who’ve been waiting for this.”
The original series ran from 2004 to 2006 on MTV and helped launch a new wave of unscripted programming. Its influence stretched into spinoffs like The Hills and inspired an entire decade of reality storytelling centered on friendships, romances, and California beach life. Two decades later, it remains a cultural touchstone for viewers who grew up during its run.

Behind the new special are familiar names. Liz Gateley is executive producing under her new Damsel Media banner, alongside Conrad, Colletti, and Cavallari. Big Fish Entertainment’s Lucilla D’Agostino and Barry Poznick, as well as showrunner Bill Langworthy, are also attached. Roku executives Olivia LaRoche and Louisa Lenander Friedman are overseeing the project.
Fans will be able to stream the reunion for free on The Roku Channel, available through Roku devices, smart TVs, mobile apps, and TheRokuChannel.com. Whether you watched every episode back in the mid-2000s or are discovering it for the first time, this reunion offers a chance to revisit a piece of reality TV history that still resonates today.
