This story is about to prove that size isn’t everything when it comes to greatness.

GOAT, a new animated movie from Sony Pictures Animation, premieres Thursday, February 13, 2026, in theaters. The all-animal action-comedy follows a small goat named Will who dreams of going pro in a high-intensity sport called roarball. The stakes are high, the competition is fierce, and Will's new teammates aren't exactly thrilled about a little goat joining their squad, but that's not stopping him.
The film is directed by The Boondocks alum Tyree Dillihay and co-directed by Adam Rosette. It's produced by Michelle Raimo-Kouyate, NBA star Stephen Curry, Erick Peyton, Adam Rosenberg, and Spider-Verse producer Rodney Rothman. GOAT marks another original story from the same studio that brought us Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, this time swapping out webs for cleats and turning underdogs into champions.
Stephen Curry also lends his voice to the character 'Lenny' and shared why the story hits home. "Coming up through basketball, I was a lot like Will; being underrated became my superpower," Curry said. "And believing in yourself, that's how heroes get it done."
The voice cast is stacked, with Caleb McLaughlin leading as Will. Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, David Harbour, Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, and country music star Jelly Roll round out the crew.
This 90s Star Trek: The Next Generation episode speaks volumes in the digital age. This one line captures the weight of modern connection and the need for quiet. Read this TalkTeaV brief spotlight.
The story taps into big themes of confidence, teamwork, and standing tall, no matter how small you are. GOAT isn't just aiming to score laughs; it's banking on heart. And if the message lands, it could become a new animated favorite for families and sports fans alike.
