Ghost Adventures Season 31 Targets Mob History and Haunted Towns

Ghost Adventures is returning in time for Halloween with a new collection of investigations tied to mob violence, frontier towns, and historic properties.
Season 31 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Episodes will be available the following day on Discovery+ and HBO Max.
Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley begin the season inside a sprawling Las Vegas warehouse now operating as a horror-themed escape room. According to Discovery, the property has a dark history connected to organized crime, leaving the team to determine whether the reported activity has a paranormal source or a more conventional explanation.
The investigation continues the show’s long connection to Nevada. Ghost Adventures grew from a feature-length documentary filmed in 2004 that followed Bagans, Goodwin, and original investigator Nick Groff through Virginia City and the Goldfield Hotel. The documentary aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2007 before the weekly series premiered on Travel Channel in October 2008.
Since then, Ghost Adventures has visited hundreds of reportedly haunted locations. Some of its best-known investigations include Bobby Mackey’s Music World in Kentucky, Poveglia Island in Italy, and the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia.
The team has also returned to the Goldfield Hotel several times, making the Nevada property a recurring part of the show’s history.

The previous season widened the program’s usual paranormal focus. Its two-part “Mountain of Madness” investigation took the crew to Casper, Wyoming, to examine reports involving UFO sightings, alleged alien abductions, and hauntings. The season also included visits to the abandoned Hollydale medical complex and a reportedly haunted California hospital.
Season 31 shifts the attention back toward locations where documented history and supernatural claims overlap. Upcoming episodes include an Oregon home associated with alleged demonic activity, a violent Utah frontier town, an abandoned Nevada mining settlement, and a California estate where staff members have reported seeing spectral nuns.
The team will also investigate a Nevada street containing old houses moved from their original locations, raising the familiar paranormal question of whether something unexplained can travel with a building.
“These investigations pushed us into some of the darkest and most challenging environments we have ever faced,” Bagans said. “Grisly and violent pasts created a breeding ground for extremely negative energy that was incredibly disturbing and unpredictable. The evidence we captured and activity we encountered was far more sinister and intense than anything we had expected.”
