A free outdoor Pride Month concert presented through Carnegie Hall Citywide is coming to the Bronx later this month, bringing TONEWALL, the queer a cappella ensemble of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, to Wave Hill's Great Lawn.
The concert is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Event organizers say the concert will move indoors to Armor Hall in the event of rain. Details on limited seating and how to obtain a 'Rain or Shine' ticket are available on the Wave Hill website.
The event is part of Carnegie Hall Citywide, a program that partners with organizations and public spaces throughout New York City's five boroughs to present free performances. Originally known as Neighborhood Concerts, the series began during the 1972-73 season as part of an agreement between Carnegie Hall and the City of New York to expand access to cultural programming.

Over the years, members have shared the stage with artists including Stephen Sondheim, Elaine Stritch, Sia, Alan Cumming, Kelli O'Hara, and the New York Philharmonic.
Bronx residents looking for additional late June events can find Father's Day activities, gallery tours, afternoon tea, and Juneteenth programming on Wave Hill's online calendar. Programs are scheduled from June 18 through June 25 at the Riverdale public garden and cultural center.
