Apple TV+ Debuts David E. Kelley's Crime Thriller 'Presumed Innocent' Trailer Starring Jake Gyllenhaal

Apple TV+ released the trailer to showrunner David E. Kelley's mystery crime drama Presumed Innocent, the upcoming thriller starring and executive-produced by Academy Award and Tony Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal.

The eight-part limited series is from multi-Emmy Award winners David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams. Presumed Innocent will make its global debut on Apple TV+, premiering the first two episodes on Wednesday, June 12, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through July 24.

Adapted from Scott Turow's New York Times bestselling novel, the series centers on a brutal murder that rocks the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney's office. The chief deputy prosecutor, Rusty Sabich (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), becomes the prime suspect.

As the investigation unfolds, the series delves into themes of obsession, sex, politics, and the complexities of love, following Rusty's struggle to keep his family and marriage intact amid mounting pressures.

Presumed Innocent is produced by Bad Robot Productions and David E. Kelley Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, under a deal with Bad Robot. The series is executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich for Bad Robot, while David E. Kelley serves as showrunner and executive producer through his production company, joined by Matthew Tinker.

Scott Turow and Miki Johnson are co-executive producers. Anne Sewitsky is an executive producer and directs the first two episodes as well as the final one, while Emmy Award winner Greg Yaitanes executive produces and directs episodes three through seven.
