What to Know
• Shudder adds four new horror films throughout July, beginning July 3.
• Joe Bob Briggs returns July 10 with a summer special and watch party.

Shudder is filling July with a mix of original premieres, exclusive releases, and returning horror favorites, giving subscribers a steady lineup of new films and classic genre titles throughout the month. The streaming service's schedule begins July 3 with Touch Me and continues through July with new releases including Faces of Death, Exit 8, and Saccharine, alongside a new special from The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs.

The month opens with Touch Me, a Shudder Exclusive arriving July 3 in the United States and Canada. Directed by Addison Heimann, the film follows two codependent best friends whose lives take a dangerous turn after becoming addicted to the touch of an alien stranger. The cast includes Olivia Taylor Dudley (The Magicians), Lou Taylor Pucci (You), and Jordan Gavaris (Orphan Black).

On July 10, Shudder premieres its original film Faces of Death, directed by Daniel Goldhaber. The reimagining stars Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria) as a content moderator who uncovers videos that appear connected to murders inspired by the infamous cult film. As the line between staged violence and reality becomes increasingly unclear, she must determine what is actually happening before it is too late.

That same day also marks the return of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. The new special launches "Joe Bob's Savage Summer," with Briggs, Darcy the Mail Girl, and special guests presenting a double feature that includes a notorious "Video Nasty" that the longtime horror host says he has never been allowed to present until now. Shudder TV will also host a live watch party at 9 p.m. ET.

The month's lineup continues July 17 with Exit 8, a Shudder Exclusive based on the popular video game. Directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic, the psychological thriller stars Kazunari Ninomiya as a man trapped inside an endless subway passage. His only chance of escape is following a simple set of rules while spotting the smallest abnormalities around him. Missing even one detail sends him back to the beginning.

Closing out the month's original premieres is Saccharine on July 24. Directed by Natalie Erika James, the horror film follows Hana, played by Midori Francis (Grey's Anatomy), a medical student haunted by a sinister force after participating in an unusual weight-loss trend involving human ashes. Danielle Macdonald (Patti Cake$) and Madeleine Madden (The Wheel of Time) also star.

Beyond its new releases, Shudder is expanding its library with a collection of well-known horror titles throughout July. Among the additions are The Evil Dead (1983), The Craft, Cabin in the Woods, Ghost Ship, Sleepaway Camp, Dead Snow, and I Spit on Your Grave (1978), along with newer genre releases including Bambi: The Reckoning, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare, and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel.

The combination of original premieres, exclusive acquisitions, repertory favorites, and weekly watch parties gives horror fans something new to discover nearly every week in July, while continuing Shudder's focus on both contemporary genre filmmaking and cult classics.
