Norwood Pride will return to the Bronx on June 13 with a free community brunch, drag performances, and the crowning of the next Ms. Bronx Pride as part of Bronx Pride Week celebrations.

The third annual event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at LNE Bar & Restaurant. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Organizers encourage guests to register in advance, though admission is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis while space remains available.

This year's celebration is hosted by Mosholu Preservation Corporation (MPC) and the Jerome Gun Hill Business Improvement District, with Destination Tomorrow serving as co-host of the Bronx Pride Pageant. According to event organizers, attendees can expect drag performances, giveaways, raffles, music, and a free brunch with appetizers, an entrée, and one hour of complimentary mimosas.

Norwood Pride began in 2024 with a community festival at Williamsbridge Oval. The event was created by MPC and the Jerome Gun Hill BID to celebrate LGBTQ+ residents and bring Pride Month programming to the neighborhood. The second edition returned to Williamsbridge Oval in 2025 before expanding this year into a Bronx Pride Week kickoff event.

Pride Month is observed each June nationally and commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal moment in the movement for LGBTQ+ civil rights in the United States.

Founded in 1981, MPC is a nonprofit organization that focuses on affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, small business support, and community development initiatives in the Bronx. The Jerome Gun Hill BID, which has served local businesses since 1996, represents commercial corridors along Jerome Avenue and East Gun Hill Road.

The event is supported by sponsors including NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, North Central Bronx Hospital, Montefiore Einstein, MetroPlus Health, Council Member Eric Dinowitz, and New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie.
