Prime Video is kicking off the new year with Role Play, a spy action-comedy film starring Kaley Cuoco (Based on a True Story, The Flight Attendant, The Big Bang Theory), David Oyelowo (Selma, Silo, Lawmen: Bass Reeves). Co-written by Andrew Baldwin (Invasion, The Outsider) and Seth W. Owen (Morgan, All Nighter) and will premiere worldwide on January 12, 2024.

From the trailer, it's evident that Role Play showcases a combination of Cuoco's comedic timing and Oyelowo's charismatic performance. The movie appears to be a perfect blend of thrilling action sequences, humor, and romance, which promises to entertain the audience with a fun espionage story.

Emma (Cuoco) has a wonderful husband and two kids in the suburbs of New Jersey. She also has a secret life as an assassin for hire, a secret that her husband David (Oyelowo) discovers when the couple decides to spice up their marriage with a little role play.

Alongside Cuoco and Oyelowo, the film stars Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman franchise, Gladiator) and Bill Nighy (Living, Valkyrie, Love Actually) as Bob. Role Play is directed by Thomas Vincent (Possessions, Bodyguard, Reacher) and rated R, with a run time of 100 minutes.
