Prime Video Sets Date For Mr. & Mrs. Smith Starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine

Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the new series from Prime Video, has officially announced its premiere date. The show will air on Prime Video starting February 2, 2024. The series features Donald Glover (Swarm, Atlanta) as John Smith and Maya Erskine (PEN15) as Jane Smith.

Glover and Francesca Sloane (Atlanta, Fargo), the co-creators and executive producers, have reimagined the 2005 film for the series. These images have been released along with the date announcement.

The series follows two lonely strangers who land jobs at a mysterious spy agency promising them a life full of espionage, wealth, world travels, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. However, the catch is that they must assume new identities and enter into an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith.

As a result, John and Jane face new relationship milestones while navigating high-risk missions every week. To make things even more complicated, they develop real feelings for each other, blurring the lines between their complex cover story and reality.

Alongside Glover and Erskine, the series also stars Michaela Coel (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), John Turturro (Severance, O Brother, Where Art Thou?), and Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood). Series writers include Yvonne Hana Yi (Raising Dion), and Carla Ching (Preacher), with Christian Sprenger (Paul T. Goldman, Atlanta) listed on IMDB as episode director.
