Prime Video's Italian Heist Series Everybody Loves Diamonds Inspired By True Events

Prime Video has announced a date and offered up some first-look images for their upcoming original Everybody Loves Diamonds, inspired by the 2003 "Antwerp Diamond Heist," dubbed "the world's largest theft of diamonds" by the global media. The worldwide premiere will be on October 13th.

The eight-part drama series with a comedic twist follows a team of small-time Italian thieves, led by Leonardo Notarbartolo, who manages to deceive top-level security with a genius mastermind plan and steal millions of dollars worth of precious stones from the Antwerp Diamond Centre.

Directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli, the series stars Kim Rossi Stuart, Anna Foglietta, Gian Marco Tognazzi, Carlotta Antonelli, and Leonardo Lidi. The series will also guest-star Rupert Everett and Malcolm McDowell as Khan, written by Michele Astori, Stefano Bises, Giulio Carrieri, and Bernardo Pellegrini.

Everybody Loves Diamonds is produced by Mario Gianani (The Good Mothers) and Lorenzo Gangarossa (Anna) for Wildside, a Fremantle company, and written by Michele Astori (Mafia Only Kills in Summer), Stefano Bises (The Miracle), Giulio Carrieri (The Man Without Gravity), and Bernardo Pellegrini (Thou Shalt Not Kill).
