A Million Miles Away, based on the memoir Reaching For The Stars by José Moreno Hernández, published in 2012, is the inspiring true story of a Migrant Farmworker turned Astronaut. Prime Video announced the film will premiere worldwide on September 15, 2023. (See Trailer Here)

Written and directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella, the biopic follows Hernandez's decade-long journey from a rural village in Michoacán, Mexico, to the fields of the San Joaquin Valley, to more than 200 miles above the Earth to the International Space Station.

A Million Miles Away stars Michael Peña, Rosa Salazar, Bobby Soto, Sarayu Blue, Veronica Falcón, Julio César Cedillo, Garret Dillahunt, and Eric Johnson, and was written by Abella in partnership with Bettina Gilois, Hernán Jiménez.
