Poor Things: Starring Emma Stone Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos: See Trailer

Based on the 1992 novel of the same name by Alasdair Gray, Poor Things is a steampunk black comedy fantasy film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

The film is scheduled to be theatrically released by Searchlight Pictures in the United States on December 8, 2023, and in the United Kingdom on January 12, 2024.

A Victorian tale of love, and discovery, Poor Things follows Bella Baxter, a young woman who after taking her own life, is crudely brought back to life by an eccentric but brilliant scientist. Soon after she flees with a lawyer, embarking on a journey of self-discovery and sexual liberation.

Poor Things is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos from the screenplay by Tony McNamara, and stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael.
