Netflix's Mother Of The Bride Has Started Production With A Very Talented Ensemble

Cast members Brooke Shields and Benjamin Bratt announced on their Instagram pages that production has begun on Netflix's Mother Of The Bride. The film is written by Robin Bernheim of The Princess Switch Series of Films and directed by Mark Waters from He’s All That and Mean Girls.
When Lana's daughter Emma returns from a year abroad in London, she drops a bombshell on her mother: she's getting married. On an island. In a month! Things only get worse when Lana discovers that the mystery man who stole her daughter's heart just so happens to be the son of the man who broke her heart years ago.

Brooke Shields added her fellow cast mates to her post and said "Let the adventure begin!! Filming is officially underway for our new Netflix movie Mother Of The Bride So excited to spend time with my amazing co-stars! Can’t wait for a few more to get here," apparently referring to Michael McDonald, Chad Michael Murray, and Wilson Cruz, whose names were also added to the post.
Just coming off the successful mystery series Poker Face, Bratt said in his post "You like weddings? Get a load of this guest list. Excited to kick off filming for Netflix Mother Of The Bride with new friends, lead by the lovely Brooke Shields."
The romantic comedy is produced by Brad Krevoy, and the film's executive producers are Amanda Phillips, Robin Bernheim, Jimmy Townsend, and Galen Fletcher. While production started in London, Netflix has not announced a release date. According to a recent post from Wilson Cruz, the cast has also started filming on the island of Phuket, Thailand.
