Mr. & Mrs. Smith From Co-creators Donald Glover and Francesca Sloan Moved To 2024
Amazon Studios today announced the new series Mr. & Mrs. Smith will premiere in early 2024 on Prime Video. The series reimagines the hit 2005 film and is from co-creators and stars Donald Glover and Francesca Sloan. There was no mention if the change was related to the strikes, but with so many films and shows changing dates, there is a chance that it may have had an effect.
Along with Donald Glover and Francesca Sloan, who will play John and Jane Smith, the series also stars Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano.
Adapted from the 2005 movie featuring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the story follows the lives of John and Jane, two individuals who have forsaken their true selves to become both espionage partners and life partners.
Brought together by a secretive agency, each episode chronicles their escapades as they embark on fresh missions while navigating the ever-evolving terrain of their relationship. As the vulnerabilities start to surface, they find themselves in a relentless battle to preserve their union, for in this marriage, there is no room for divorce.
