Brie Larson, who is also the series' executive producer, stars as Elizabeth Zott, whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society, set in the early 1950s. Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, which leads her to accept a job as a host on a TV cooking show. But once in front of the camera, Elizabeth sets out to teach a nation of overlooked Housewives and men who are also suddenly listening about more than just recipes.

Starring alongside Larson is Lewis Pullman, who played Lt. Robert Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick. NAACP Image Award winner and murder suspect in How To Get Away With Murder Aja Naomi King. From The Flight Attendant and The Offer, Stephanie Koenig. Kevin Sussman played Stuart Bloom, the kind-hearted comic book store owner on The Big Bang Theory.
