Lost in France: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Struggle Begins This Fall

On Bastille Day, AMC Networks revealed that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will debut on Sunday, September 10th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. After a strong viewership start to the premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City and now as its six-episode season will end on July 23rd, it's the perfect time for AMC to keep the excitement going.

The network released new images of the upcoming series, which features the beloved Norman Reedus, who, along with the rest of the cast, was filmed in and around Paris, France.

In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the character Daryl (Reedus) washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way will complicate his ultimate plan.

The Daryl Dixon story is the latest spin-off created by Angela Kang and David Zabel for AMC. The series is the fifth spin-off from the original and the sixth series in The Walking Dead franchise. There is another series in the works that will follow characters Rick and Michonne, but there is no official title for the upcoming series yet.

Norman Reedus reprises his role as Daryl Dixon and is joined by actors Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.

The series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, and Daniel Percival. Development began in September 2020.
